The Mighty River Tees
The Tees starts its course from the source on Cross Fell winding its way to the the North Sea in Tees Bay. Over the years the river has changed its use resulting in a vast history and heritage. Today as well as remaining a commercial river it supporting wildlife and the opportunity for recreation. In the past it has seen battles, abundance and demise, particularly industry. However things are changing!
This site aims to provide details of the projects redeveloping the Tees, activities and opportunities for the community to be involved and enjoy and general information about the river and its surrounding areas.
